The Role
Our customers rely on Calendar to run their practice, and we're making it faster, smarter, and easier to use. We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help lead the development and scaling of Calendar features. You'll own the design and execution of the work you take on, from first idea to production, alongside Product and a team that cares about craft. This is a remote role, and deep Ruby on Rails expertise with full stack experience will set you up to thrive.
Responsibilities

- Own the technical design and delivery of complex, user-facing Calendar features across the full stack, from first idea to production
- Partner with Product to understand customer needs, define upcoming features, and catch problems before customers do
- Build across the full stack, with depth in languages and frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Python and ship clean and scalable code
- Establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices and mentor other engineers
- Navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality products at pace
Desired Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of senior-level full-stack engineering, with deep, hands-on Ruby on Rails expertise
- A proven track record of taking ambiguous and complex problems to reliable production systems that serve millions of users
- Solid, production-tested experience with Ember.js or React and their ecosystems. You are comfortable to move easily across platforms and frameworks
- Strong systems design and judgment across APIs, SQL, multi-platform distributed systems, observability, and reliability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with remote teams on GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Zoom
- Advanced, hands-on fluency with AI coding tools like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code
- High agency. You do your best work when things move fast, and you own quality, reliability, and operational excellence end to end
