What you'll do

  • Implement robot perception systems for safe exploration and real-world navigation
  • Develop 3D scene reconstruction from monocular images and optimize SLAM algorithms
  • Create visual localization tools and life-long mapping infrastructure with pose-graph optimization
  • Build visual servoing systems to track and control robot motion based on detected objects
  • Research novel techniques to handle glare and challenging lighting in robotic mapping
  • Collect and pipeline data for training robot manipulation tasks like pick-and-place operations
