Software Development Engineer in Test - Contractor

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join their full-stack team in San Mateo, CA. The contractor will focus on test automation, developing strategies to ensure the quality of features on various platforms.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute quality engineering activities, including test plans and test cases
• Review requirements and design documents to devise effective testing strategies
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks and infrastructure
• Develop automated UI and API tests to enhance coverage
• Report and track defects while providing status updates
• Collaborate with distributed teams for test plan execution

What they're looking for

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of UI automation experience for web applications
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or C++
• Familiarity with Selenium or Appium
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and SDKs
• Experience with modern web frameworks, preferably React
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
