About this role

SpaceX seeks an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize additive manufacturing processes for Raptor engine components. You'll drive process improvements, collaborate across teams, and work with advanced powder-bed and powder-fed technologies to produce high-quality aerospace parts.

What you'll do

  • Identify and execute projects to improve printer robustness and repeatability using machine data and sensor monitoring
  • Design, develop, and test additive manufacturing processes using powder-bed and powder-fed approaches
  • Optimize build files and print parameters to maximize part quality, consistency, and production efficiency
  • Collaborate with design and materials teams to incorporate additive manufacturing features and develop optimal heat treatments
  • Develop systems to collect, analyze, and leverage process data for continuous improvement
  • Document best practices, implement safety improvements, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
