Automation & Controls Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to develop systems for the Starship launch pads, involving the design of electrical control systems and mechanical integration. This role requires collaboration within a skilled engineering team to create advanced automated solutions for space exploration.

What you'll do

• Design and commission control systems for launch pads
• Create compliant electrical control panels
• Develop control and data acquisition systems
• Write and debug PLC code for automation
• Manage electrical cabinet builds and wiring installations
• Document control systems for operator handoff

• Electrical schematic CAD experience
• Knowledge of NEC and UL 508A codes
