About this role
SpaceX seeks an Avionics Manufacturing Engineer to oversee PCBA production for launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will manage the full manufacturing lifecycle, drive design for manufacturability, lead process improvements, and serve as the critical link between engineering and production teams to meet aggressive rate objectives.
What you'll do
- Liaison between avionics engineering, supply chain, and production to meet manufacturing and test rate targets
- Implement, simplify, and automate high-reliability PCBA manufacturing processes for independent production operations
- Design and validate tooling to ensure manufacturing repeatability and efficiency
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for production non-conformances and failures
- Qualify new equipment and drive continuous improvement on existing manufacturing assets
- Prepare engineering documentation including assembly procedures, test protocols, BOMs, and technical drawings for production transition
