Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer, Gateways (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer for their Starlink initiative, focusing on the development and testing of ground station electronics. The role involves ensuring reliable communication for the world's largest satellite constellation through rigorous testing and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

What you'll do

• Design and execute environmental, RF, mechanical, and electrical testing solutions for ground antenna electronics
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions
• Develop custom PCBAs and select commercial hardware for testing
• Support hardware through design qualification and production
• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines for integrated hardware
• Drive improvements in designs based on field and lab data

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant STEM field
• 1+ years in hardware development or failure analysis
• Experience with RF principles and mechanical design
• Proficient in test equipment and measurement techniques
• Knowledge of environmental testing methods
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++
• Understanding of electronics reliability and failure mechanisms
• Familiarity with quality tools like Six Sigma and Lean principles
