SpaceX is seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Engineer to join their electromagnetic environmental effects team in Bastrop, TX. The role involves ensuring electronics performance under challenging electromagnetic conditions, particularly for the Starlink system, while interfacing broadly with design and engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Support pre-compliance and certification testing for various electronics applications
  • Ensure designs meet EMC and radio requirements
  • Operate and automate EMI and RF test equipment
  • Develop and maintain calibration for compliance testing lab equipment
  • Interface with design teams and perform electromagnetic compatibility analysis
  • Troubleshoot EMI issues from board to system levels

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 1+ years of electrical or EMC engineering experience
  • Experience with EMI/EMC analysis and testing
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools
  • Knowledge of CISPR/FCC standards
  • EMC lab experience
  • Proficiency in EMC test automation tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
