About this role
SpaceX seeks an Electromagnetic Effects Test Engineer to ensure satellite and ground system hardware meets strict EMC standards across demanding environments. You'll conduct analysis, design, and testing at multiple levels while collaborating with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to support SpaceX's space exploration and satellite internet missions.
What you'll do
- Perform automotive EMC qualification testing per CISPR 25, ISO 11452, and related standards
- Maintain and operate EMC test facilities including chambers and conducted assets
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot EMI/EMC issues from board to system level
- Develop test plans, execute testing, and generate detailed reports
- Interface with design teams across the company to set EMC requirements and provide guidance
- Operate, calibrate, and automate RF, EMI, and electronics test equipment
