About this role
SpaceX seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for Starlink's satellite internet constellation, which serves millions of users globally. You'll work on low-level systems for custom hardware, deployment infrastructure, and telemetry platforms while ensuring reliability and security across distributed satellite and gateway devices.
What you'll do
- Design and implement fault-tolerant software for consumer devices and gateways serving millions of users with minimal maintenance
- Write Linux-based software for ARM, RISC-V, and other processors and microcontrollers
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews across the team
- Develop prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints
- Build test systems for hardware-in-the-loop simulations and virtualized environments
- Create continuous integration tools to enable frequent, reliable deployments and data analysis
