About this role
SpaceX seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to oversee construction safety for Starship spaceport infrastructure development at Starbase, TX. You'll manage day-to-day EHS compliance, conduct hazard inspections, enforce contractor safety programs, and ensure regulatory adherence across a fast-paced, high-impact construction environment.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily EHS site management and enforce contractor safety programs for construction operations
- Conduct hazard identification inspections and develop safety observations to ensure OSHA, NFPA, and NIOSH compliance
- Collaborate on job hazard assessments, PPE requirements, and health & safety policy implementation
- Monitor employee hazard exposure during normal and emergency situations
- Investigate incidents, spills, and injuries to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Provide safety training to construction personnel and manage environmental compliance with EPA and DOT regulations
