About this role
SpaceX seeks a Field Engineer for site development at the McGregor Rocket Development Facility to oversee infrastructure design, construction, and activation projects. You'll coordinate contractors, operate heavy equipment, manage schedules, and ensure quality and safety compliance across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Coordinate contractors across facility and manage critical path scheduling
- Inspect contractor progress and verify work quality and compliance
- Operate earthmoving equipment for infrastructure projects including grading, drainage, and utility work
- Perform site layout and record as-built data using GPS and surveying equipment
- Ensure OSHA and site safety standards are followed by all contractors
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time and manage stakeholder communication
