SpaceX is searching for an enthusiastic FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced systems for the Starlink project. This role involves designing complex ASICs and FPGAs, optimizing for performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance connectivity globally.

What you'll do

  • Design ASICs and FPGAs for Starlink projects
  • Optimize designs for power, performance, and area
  • Participate in the full design lifecycle from concept to validation
  • Build tools for data analysis on orbit and in the lab
  • Engage in architectural design for test systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers on production software

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields
  • 1+ years of RTL design experience
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
  • Experience with ASIC/FPGA system integration
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Bash
  • Experience with EDA tools
  • Understanding of AXI/AHB/APB protocols
  • Foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals
