SpaceX is searching for an enthusiastic FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced systems for the Starlink project. This role involves designing complex ASICs and FPGAs, optimizing for performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance connectivity globally.
What you'll do
- Design ASICs and FPGAs for Starlink projects
- Optimize designs for power, performance, and area
- Participate in the full design lifecycle from concept to validation
- Build tools for data analysis on orbit and in the lab
- Engage in architectural design for test systems
- Collaborate with software engineers on production software
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields
- 1+ years of RTL design experience
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
- Experience with ASIC/FPGA system integration
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Bash
- Experience with EDA tools
- Understanding of AXI/AHB/APB protocols
- Foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals
