Full Stack Software Engineer
About this role
SpaceX seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to build mission-critical applications supporting rocket production, Starship manufacturing, and the Starlink satellite network. You'll develop highly reliable systems used across the company, from factory automation to customer-facing platforms, working onsite in Hawthorne with a collaborative team of engineers.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable software solutions deployed across SpaceX operations
- Create new applications that improve operational efficiency
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and identify technical constraints
- Own the complete software engineering lifecycle from design to deployment
- Investigate user problems to design and implement efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture, design reviews, and team technical discussions

- Full stack web development
- Object-oriented programming (Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar)
- Single page application frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
- Database design (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar)
- Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Data streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
- UNIX-like systems and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible)
