About this role

SpaceX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead equipment commissioning and process development for an investment casting line producing turbine blades and vanes. The role combines hands-on equipment installation, supplier management, and eventual process ownership across cores-through-cast operations, with mentorship responsibilities in a senior technical-contributor capacity.

What you'll do

  • Lead commissioning, Factory Acceptance Tests, and Site Acceptance Tests for pre-cast equipment including VIM furnaces, injection machines, shell dip lines, and thermal systems
  • Manage supplier coordination for facilities, power, water, waste, controls, network, and MES integration
  • Take process ownership of cores-through-cast operations and drive production readiness while managing cost, rate, yield, and quality
  • Design and implement tools, fixtures, and process aids to meet manufacturing targets
  • Develop work instructions, process specifications, PFMEAs, and control-plan documentation
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, lead root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers and technicians
