Operations Engineer (Space Planning)

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer specializing in Space Planning to enhance business operations through strategic resource allocation and optimization. The role involves managing multiple projects and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective space utilization on the Hawthorne campus.

What you'll do

• Optimize resources, schedules, and risk at a strategic level
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines
• Maintain accurate space planning information using software
• Coordinate space planning across teams and campuses
• Create operational templates for consistent space requests
• Identify and address operational challenges creatively

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture
• 1+ years of operations/process improvement experience
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Python/R
• Experience with CAD software
• Familiarity with mapping software like ArcGIS or Revit
• Strong communication skills
