Operations Engineer (Starship)
About this role
SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer to design, build, and optimize the fluid systems powering Starship at Starbase. You'll partner with fabrication and engineering teams to solve real pad problems daily, leveraging data analysis and process improvement to support an aggressive launch and test program.
What you'll do
- Partner with fabrication teams to identify operational challenges and execute process improvements for Starship fluid systems
- Build and maintain software tools (Excel, SQL, Python) and dashboards to scale production and support engineering design teams
- Collaborate across flight hardware logistics, supply chain, engineering, and launch groups to synchronize efforts
- Develop tools to track performance metrics, perform statistical analysis, and enable data-driven optimization of engineering and production
- Maintain rapid feedback loops with launch engineering and fabrication teams to adjust processes and procedures
- Independently evaluate complex technical problems and implement solutions for cryogenic and high-pressure gas systems
