Process Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking a Process Engineer to enhance production procedures for the Starship program, focusing on maximizing quality through efficient methodologies. The role involves developing and implementing manufacturing processes, collaborating with design teams, and driving continuous improvements in production.

What you'll do

• Develop and enforce manufacturing and inspection processes across work centers.
• Design tooling for various testing and assembly needs.
• Document inspection requirements and create training for processes.
• Authorize planning and training to support data collection and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with teams to manage non-conforming hardware issues.
• Conduct reviews to identify and resolve recurring build quality issues.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software like NX or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and NDT processes.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience with tooling design and manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to work in a shop environment.
