About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer to develop reliable, real-time software for Starmind, a satellite constellation that captures solar energy in space to power AI compute. You'll own the complete software lifecycle across gateways, satellites, and ground infrastructure, from development through on-orbit testing.
What you'll do
- Develop highly reliable real-time software for satellites, gateways, user terminals, and network switches
- Lead and participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
- Build prototypes and run experiments to validate key design concepts
- Create development, testing, and deployment tools including simulators and data visualization systems
- Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines with testing and data analysis

- Real-time, resource-constrained high-performance computing
- Networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP) and distributed systems security
