About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer to design and build a scalable Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Starlink, the world's largest satellite constellation. You'll architect distributed systems, optimize hardware utilization, manage traffic routing, and develop prototypes that expand Starlink's capabilities to billions of users globally.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network for Starlink
- Develop robust distributed systems with focus on performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Create monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools for real-time operation of business-critical systems
- Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and manage traffic across multiple CDNs
- Lead architecture reviews and code reviews with cross-functional teams
- Build and validate prototypes to test future Starlink use cases and design concepts
