About this role

SpaceX seeks a Test Engineer to manage critical environmental and functional testing of avionics flight hardware in a lab setting. You'll develop Python automation software, troubleshoot test processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure hardware meets stringent requirements before vehicle integration.

What you'll do

  • Own flight hardware through thermal, vibration, and environmental screening procedures
  • Write and maintain Python automation software for test equipment and hardware interaction
  • Troubleshoot test software and modify code to adjust bounds and implement fixes
  • Verify all avionics hardware meets SpaceX and customer specifications post-testing
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams on complex testing challenges
  • Drive continuous improvements to increase throughput and reduce testing costs
