Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition

About this role

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for its Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team to help enhance their AI model training capabilities through effective data collection and management. This remote role involves working with cloud infrastructure and collaborating with AI scientists to optimize data sources and ensure high-quality datasets are available.

What you'll do

• Find new audio data sources for the ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform
• Collaborate with scientists to improve data cost and quality
• Develop the AI team’s dataset roadmap
• Support data processing workflows

What they're looking for

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Bash/Python scripting in Linux
• Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with cloud providers, especially GCP
• Web crawlers and large-scale data processing
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
