Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll engage directly with customers and developer communities to implement and customize Speechmatics' Voice AI solutions. This hands-on role combines engineering and product evangelism, allowing you to rapidly build prototypes and integrations in diverse environments.
What you'll do
- Create rapid prototypes and Proofs of Concept
- Develop custom integrations using Speechmatics’ APIs
- Produce impactful demos for various audiences
- Collaborate with customer teams to enhance deployment outcomes
- Serve as a liaison between customers and engineering teams
- Produce resources to aid developers with API integration

- Strong software engineering background
- Deep API integration experience
- Proficient in TypeScript, SvelteKit, React
- Full-stack development skills preferred
- Effective communicator with diverse audiences
- Passion for Voice AI and developer experiences
- Experience with technical community engagement
- Comfortable with fast iteration and ambiguity
