Sphinx is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead and provide technical authority for a software-focused space-ground program in SATCOM. This leadership role involves guiding engineering decisions, architecture development, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure mission success.
What you'll do
- Act as technical authority for space-ground programs
- Lead development of system architectures for mission performance
- Translate mission needs into technical solutions with stakeholders
- Define and maintain technical roadmaps and standards
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across teams
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineers
What they're looking for
- 12+ years in complex space or SATCOM systems
- 8+ years experience with SATCOM systems
- Proficiency in software engineering and systems architecture
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures
- Ability to manage technical risks and dependencies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience in cybersecurity and risk management
