About this role
Stratolaunch seeks an experienced Environmental Test Engineer to oversee environmental loads and testing for the Talon-A hypersonic vehicle. You'll coordinate between test and vehicle teams to plan, execute, and validate environmental testing across vibration, shock, thermal, and EMI domains while managing component qualification and flight data review.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain environmental test plans (ETP) for vibration, shock, thermal, and EMI loads on Talon-A vehicles
- Coordinate vehicle instrumentation strategy to capture validation data and update test requirements
- Review and analyze flight data against ETP predictions to ensure consistency and identify necessary updates
- Track acceptance and qualification testing status for all line-replaceable units (LRUs) and report to chief engineer
- Collaborate with thermal and dynamic analysts to review model predictions and test specifications
- Ensure timely delivery of tested and qualified components to manufacturing for vehicle integration
