About this role

Stratolaunch seeks a Project Engineer to lead technical strategy and execution for hypersonic air vehicle programs, working closely with the Chief Engineer and cross-functional teams. The role requires managing vendors, developing Bills of Materials, coordinating test planning, and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders on complex aerospace development projects.

What you'll do

  • Support Chief Engineer and program leadership in achieving customer program objectives and technical execution
  • Develop and manage Bills of Materials while identifying and coordinating vendors for design and manufacturing phases
  • Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, structures, and controls
  • Support ground and flight test planning and execution activities
  • Prepare for and facilitate technical reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR phase-gate meetings
  • Contribute to business proposals and strategic program planning efforts
