About this role

About AllSci

AllSci is an AI-powered scientific knowledge platform transforming how science is consumed, shared, and measured. Our mission is to make scientific knowledge more accessible, connected, and useful by reimagining how research is discovered, communicated, evaluated, and applied.

AllSci serves three primary markets: individual researchers, universities and research institutions, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Our platform combines AI-powered research tools, a large-scale scientific knowledge graph, open publishing, and research intelligence capabilities to help individuals and organizations access, contribute to, and evaluate scientific knowledge.

For pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, AllSci provides advanced AI and data solutions supporting research and development, from drug discovery through clinical development, as well as business development, competitive intelligence, scientific due diligence, and portfolio strategy. Our platform helps organizations accelerate research, evaluate scientific evidence, identify opportunities, and make better scientific and commercial decisions.

AllSci has recently launched its platform and is expanding its commercial presence in the US and internationally.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Strategic Account Executive to build and grow AllSci’s business with US pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with direct responsibility for generating new business and closing strategic accounts. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.

You will work closely with executive leadership and the product team, helping shape our commercial strategy, refine our value proposition, and identify emerging customer needs. The ideal candidate combines strong pharma/biotech industry relationships, consultative enterprise sales experience, and the initiative to build a business in an emerging market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business: Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, targeting leaders in drug discovery, development, business development, competitive intelligence, and corporate strategy.
  • Own the sales cycle: Independently lead discovery, product demonstrations, business case development, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Develop strategic accounts: Build relationships with scientific, technical, and commercial stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Build and manage the pipeline: Develop account strategies, maintain accurate forecasts, and achieve agreed revenue targets.
  • Demonstrate customer value: Understand scientific and commercial workflows, identify customer challenges, and articulate measurable value.
  • Shape our commercial offering: Work with leadership and product teams on positioning, pricing, customer feedback, and product priorities.
  • Support customer expansion: Develop long-term relationships supporting retention, broader adoption, and additional revenue.
  • Represent AllSci: Build the company’s presence through industry relationships, conferences, and professional networks.

Qualifications

Required

  • Successful track record selling enterprise software, data, analytics, research intelligence, or consulting solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
  • Established relationships and credibility within pharma/biotech, particularly among R&D and business development leaders.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D, drug development, scientific due diligence, and/or biotech business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities, navigate complex sales processes, and close significant enterprise deals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both scientific and commercial decision-makers.
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial approach and willingness to operate in a growing company with a developing commercial organization.

Preferred

  • Experience selling AI-enabled products, scientific data platforms, or specialized research tools.
  • Experience developing new markets or commercializing early-stage technology products.
  • Ability to work regularly from our North Bethesda, Maryland office.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Incentive compensation: Commission based on achievement of assigned sales targets. On-target earnings will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Benefits: Company-paid comprehensive health insurance, including dental and vision; 401(k) with company matching; and generous paid time off.
