CLI Engineer

About this role

Supabase is seeking a CLI Engineer to enhance their command line interface and local development tools. This role involves creating reliable and secure tools for developers across multiple platforms while collaborating with teams and the open source community.

What you'll do

• Design and develop backend APIs and services using TypeScript
• Create consistent CLI tooling for Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Collaborate on API design and end-to-end functionality
• Implement tests for reliability and maintainability
• Produce documentation for API and CLI users
• Gather feedback to improve API and CLI experiences

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in software development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with command-line tools
• Familiarity with package distribution methods
• Solid Git and CI/CD knowledge
• Experience in building user-friendly CLIs
• Knowledge of backend systems
• Understanding of security and performance best practices
