About this role
Supabase is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build a high-performance CI/CD execution platform that orchestrates distributed pipelines at scale. You'll architect the core systems for managing ephemeral compute environments, job scheduling, and reliable pipeline execution across thousands of concurrent builds.
What you'll do
- Design and improve the orchestration engine managing branch lifecycle operations including creation, merging, and rebasing
- Provision and secure ephemeral sandboxed environments on EKS/ECS for executing untrusted build workloads with secret management
- Implement scalable job scheduling algorithms to handle thousands of concurrent builds efficiently
- Optimize pipeline performance through caching strategies, artifact storage, and dependency reuse mechanisms
- Build retry, timeout, cancellation, and failure-handling logic to ensure predictable pipeline behavior
- Develop configuration standards and IaC integrations (Terraform/Pulumi) for pipeline definition and inspection
