About this role

STR's Analytics & C2 Division seeks an Autonomy Algorithms Software Engineer to design and develop advanced software systems for autonomous platforms, unmanned systems, and mission planning applications. You'll work on full lifecycle projects from prototyping through integrated systems, leveraging machine learning, control algorithms, and DevSecOps practices in a hybrid environment based in Arlington, VA or Woburn, MA.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement advanced algorithms for autonomous platforms and multi-agent collaboration systems
  • Develop software tools for mission planning, automated control, and unmanned platform operations
  • Support programs throughout the software development lifecycle from prototype to deployment
  • Integrate, test, and demonstrate autonomous reasoning and control system capabilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tactical mission execution and resource management
