Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

TENEX is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with customer accounts, identifying security challenges and building custom solutions that leverage AI and data expertise. This role combines technical skills with customer engagement to enhance cybersecurity solutions in fast-paced environments.

What you'll do

• Embed within customer accounts to understand workflows and security challenges
• Execute the FDE engagement loop: Discover, Ideate, Document, Build, Ship
• Develop tailored solutions including automations and security tooling extensions
• Identify and analyze data opportunities during customer engagements
• Maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders
• Document solutions for future scalability and refinements

What they're looking for

• 3+ years in software or security engineering
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language
• Experience solving technical problems for customers
• Familiarity with AI/ML and data engineering concepts
• Knowledge of security operations and cloud security
• Ability to prototype and deliver solutions quickly
• Strong technical documentation abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
