About this role
Torc, a Daimler-owned autonomous vehicle software company, seeks a Software Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and cloud-based systems that process fleet and simulation data for ML training and analytics. You'll work with AWS managed services, Python, and containerization to support autonomous truck development in a remote-first, collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines processing large daily volumes from vehicle fleets and simulations
- Build scalable ETL solutions and data storage infrastructure for ML training at enterprise scale
- Implement data validation, versioning, and governance to ensure data integrity and provenance
- Collaborate with perception, planning, and vehicle testing teams on data solutions
- Participate in business-hours on-call rotation to support deployed systems
- Develop cloud-based infrastructure improvements using Terraform and AWS services
