About this role

Torc is seeking a Software Engineer II for its Fleet Enablement & Insights team to design and build data systems and tooling that optimize autonomous truck data collection operations. You'll work across data pipelines, metrics dashboards, and geospatial tooling while collaborating with fleet operations and machine learning teams to ensure high-quality training data for the autonomous platform.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain Python-based tools and services for fleet data-collection planning, metrics, and data-readiness workflows
  • Build internal tooling to automate route prioritization, asset tracking, data ingestion, validation, and release processes
  • Develop fleet and data-collection metrics and display them in live dashboards for real-time mission monitoring
  • Manage relational and spatial databases ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability
  • Deploy scalable data pipelines using AWS services (S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS) and Databricks
  • Collaborate with Fleet Operations, Mapping, Perception, and Localization teams to align data-collection with downstream requirements
