About this role
Torc, a Daimler-owned autonomous vehicle software company, is hiring an entry-level cybersecurity engineer to design and validate secure architectures for automotive Electronic Control Units. You'll collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional teams to implement security controls, conduct threat analysis, and ensure compliance with automotive standards like ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155.
What you'll do
- Define and implement security requirements for automotive ECUs including Secure Boot, Hardware Security Modules, and cryptographic key management
- Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers to communicate cybersecurity requirements and review technical deliverables
- Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) to identify attack vectors and threat scenarios
- Evaluate security controls for in-vehicle networks such as CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN protocols
- Conduct security verification, code analysis, and penetration testing on bench and target hardware environments
- Ensure engineering activities align with ISO/SAE 21434, AUTOSAR, and UNECE regulatory frameworks
