About this role
True Anomaly seeks a Chief Engineer to architect and lead the ground software for a next-generation space-based missile defense system. You'll oversee end-to-end design of a command-and-control system spanning telemetry, engagement management, and autonomous decision-making while managing integration across spacecraft, interceptors, and multi-vendor partners.
What you'll do
- Define and own end-to-end ground segment architecture for heterogeneous command-and-control systems including telemetry, alerts, engagement management, and payload command
- Establish architectural principles for scalability, resiliency, security, and autonomy across the ground ecosystem
- Lead technical baseline for real-time command-and-control systems, data pipelines, and mission visualization
- Oversee cybersecurity architecture aligned with Risk Management Framework and mission assurance standards
- Direct integration of simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and operational prototypes for validation against raid scenarios
- Act as senior technical authority, mentoring engineering teams and interfacing with government stakeholders and industry partners
