About this role

Join Twilio's Platform Engineering team as an L2 Software Engineer to build and operate large-scale distributed backend services across AWS and Azure. You'll work hands-on with Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and modern development tools while collaborating with senior engineers to keep systems healthy under production load.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-backed services at scale with senior engineer guidance
  • Write production code and participate in code reviews following established testing standards
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Maintain observability coverage including metrics, alerts, and distributed tracing for core pipelines
  • Identify and communicate technical debt, bugs, and system issues to the team
  • Seek mentorship and actively contribute to sprint planning and team knowledge sharing
