Systems Engineer III - MSAD
About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Systems Engineer III to design and develop modeling, simulation, and control systems for propulsion and aerospace platforms. You'll drive algorithm development, system performance analysis, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a hybrid role based in Folsom, CA supporting defense and space initiatives.
What you'll do
- Develop models and control algorithms for propulsion, flight control, and guidance subsystems
- Design system simulation architectures for design iteration, verification, and validation
- Perform dynamic system studies and validate models against test data to improve fidelity
- Conduct requirement derivation, margin analysis, and performance trade studies including Monte Carlo and sensitivity analyses
- Apply physics-based modeling to mechanical, thermal, and aerodynamic subsystems
- Author technical documentation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across GNC, software, systems, and test teams
