Junior Software Tester
About this role
Two Six Technologies seeks a Junior Software Tester to develop and execute manual functional tests for a next-generation networking platform. You'll collaborate with developers and field operations to identify defects, document issues, and support Agile development cycles in an onsite Arlington or Herndon, VA role.
What you'll do
- Perform manual testing on web-based applications and investigate root causes of defects
- Develop and execute functional, regression, and user-acceptance tests in manual environments
- Create and maintain test cases, procedures, and supporting documentation
- Detect, reproduce, and document software defects with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual results
- Use browser tools, logs, and command-line utilities to diagnose application behavior
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives
