Until
Electrical Engineer / Applied Physicist
About this role
Until seeks an Electrical Engineer or Applied Physicist to design novel electrical systems for uniform organ rewarming in cryopreservation. You'll tackle the core technical challenge of delivering high power into biological loads through a combination of theoretical modeling and hands-on hardware development.
What you'll do
- Design and model electrical systems for high-power delivery into complex biological tissues
- Develop theoretical frameworks using circuit theory, electromagnetics, and thermal physics
- Build and test prototype hardware in the laboratory environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on perfusion, cryoprotectant, and rewarming solutions
- Solve first-of-its-kind technical challenges in organ rewarming
- Iterate rapidly on solutions with high autonomy and ownership
What they're looking for
- Electrical engineering fundamentals and circuit design
- Electromagnetics and electromagnetic field modeling
- Thermal physics and heat transfer analysis
- Experimental hardware development and lab work
- Mathematical modeling and simulation
- Problem-solving with first-principles thinking
- Applied physics
- High-power system design
