About this role
US Conec seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize precision injection molding systems, processes, and metrology techniques for high-density fiber-optic connector solutions. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, support production operations, and mentor technical staff while leveraging expertise in tooling, statistical analysis, and manufacturing documentation.
What you'll do
- Design and develop injection molds, molding processes, and manufacturing systems for new and existing products
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-reduction projects to enhance operational efficiency
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions and technical data sheets
- Develop tight-tolerance measurement methods and metrology procedures to ensure product specifications
- Provide technical support to production operations and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Analyze customer returns to determine root causes and drive product quality improvements
