About this role

Varda seeks a Hardware Build Reliability Engineer II to ensure spacecraft hardware production meets quality and reliability standards. You'll partner with design and manufacturing teams to develop test and inspection processes, lead failure investigations, and support mission assurance across vehicle production and operations.

What you'll do

  • Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
  • Contain non-conforming products and guide quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers on compliance issues
  • Lead root cause failure investigations in production, test, and operational environments to improve reliability
  • Provide technical peer review during design reviews and acceptance/qualification test campaigns
  • Support quality, flight reliability, and mission assurance functions across the organization
  • Implement process improvements to enable scaled production of reliable hardware
