About this role

Vast is seeking a Battery Electronics Engineer II to contribute to the development of systems for its innovative space stations. You will own the design and validation processes of battery electronics to support human-rated space missions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll do

• Manage battery electronics specification and architecture
• Design circuits for various functions including voltage sensing and fault detection
• Conduct failure modes and effects analyses
• Validate circuits and systems under environmental conditions

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 2+ years of electrical hardware development experience
• Experience in battery electrical systems
• Problem-solving and risk assessment abilities
• Knowledge of programming languages like Matlab and Python
• Familiarity with vehicle and instrumentation bus systems
• Experience with full-lifecycle product development
• Strong communication skills
