Vast is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of components from suppliers for their next-generation space stations. This role is essential for collaborating with teams to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvements in supplier processes.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers through audits and assessments
- Build strong supplier relationships and address quality-related issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design intents
- Review supplier processes and quality systems with procurement teams
- Analyze quality data to implement corrective actions and improvements
- Lead root cause analysis for manufacturing or supply chain issues

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 4+ years experience in manufacturing or inspection
- Understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Experience with supplier quality processes
- Statistical controls and methods expertise
- Strong communication skills
