Product & Application Security Engineer

About this role

Veeam is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance the security of its market-leading Kubernetes data protection software. This role focuses on embedding security throughout the software lifecycle, conducting threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability remediation to protect customer data effectively.

What you'll do

• Participate in design reviews to address security concerns
• Conduct threat modeling on new features
• Review Pull Requests and perform code audits
• Triaging and fixing security alerts
• Lead audits and compliance reviews
• Serve as a security expert on Kubernetes for the engineering team

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in Go and Vue.js
• Experience with Kubernetes security features
• Familiarity with AppSec and Supply Chain tools like Grype and Cycode
• Ability to integrate security early in the development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
