Federal Solutions Engineer
About this role
Verkada is hiring a Federal Solutions Engineer to support sales efforts across the U.S. federal government, serving as a technical expert on their integrated physical security platform. You'll work alongside account executives to design solutions, overcome technical objections, and evangelize Verkada's video, access control, IoT, and related products to federal customers.
What you'll do
- Serve as technical subject matter expert on the full Verkada product suite during the federal sales process
- Overcome technical objections and secure technical wins for Verkada with federal buyers
- Design and architect Verkada deployments tailored to customer requirements
- Present solutions to diverse stakeholder levels from C-suite to IT and security directors
- Train and educate federal partners, customers, and internal teams on Verkada offerings
- Travel regularly (>50%) to support customer and partner engagements

- Sales engineering and solution design
- Network architecture (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, NAT)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Federal sales and Fortune 500 experience
- Security protocols and certifications (AWS, CCNA, Security+, CISSP preferred)
- Technical communication and presentation
- Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, and APIs
- Python or other programming languages (bonus)
