About this role
Virtru seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to deploy and operationalize its data protection platform directly with government and defense customers in classified environments. You'll work onsite at customer facilities, integrating solutions across Windows and Linux infrastructures, Kubernetes clusters, and complex government security frameworks while serving as the technical bridge between Virtru's platform and agency-specific requirements.
What you'll do
- Deploy and configure Virtru's Data Security Platform across classified/unclassified government environments with Windows Server, Linux, and Kubernetes
- Integrate DSP with government infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-native architectures
- Architect and manage containerized deployments on Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, Rancher) with Helm customization
- Translate customer mission requirements into technical implementations and configurations
- Troubleshoot complex integration challenges across diverse technology stacks and coordinate with internal/external teams
- Create deployment runbooks, configuration guides, and automation scripts for government environments
