About this role

What you'll do

  • Characterize advanced ceramics, insulators, and refractory metals for extreme temperature applications
  • Evaluate, select, and qualify materials and electronic components for extreme environments
  • Lead research and innovation projects optimizing material selection for challenging propulsion applications
  • Specify and plan complex manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing, composites, machining, and welding
  • Author compliance documentation such as PMP/PMAP, MUA/MUIL, and failure analysis reports
  • Provide expert consultation and communicate technical information to diverse audiences
