About this role

Lead process engineering and operations for a rare-earth magnet pilot plant, owning both floor-level production and MES/ERP system architecture while building the foundation for technology transfer to commercial production. This role bridges hands-on manufacturing with data systems integration and process optimization in a defense-critical, advanced materials environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead MES implementation including recipe management, batch records, equipment integration, and data historian connectivity
  • Support production floor operations during magnet manufacturing runs and troubleshoot deviations in real time
  • Own production scheduling, shift reporting, and daily metrics across throughput, yield, and uptime
  • Develop and maintain process recipes, SOPs, and documentation aligned with R&D and quality standards
  • Build data pipelines and operator dashboards for real-time production visibility and process analytics
  • Create technology transfer package to scale pilot processes to the Benson commercial facility
