About this role
Vulcan Elements is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to enhance its Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring safety and compliance in manufacturing American rare-earth magnets. The role involves leading hazard identification initiatives, compliance efforts, and fostering a safety culture across the facility.
What you'll do
- Develop and improve the site's PSM program per OSHA and EPA requirements
- Conduct Process Hazard Analyses and risk assessments
- Manage incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Oversee emergency planning and contractor safety training
- Lead safety audits and regulatory compliance reviews
- Provide technical guidance on safety and risk mitigation
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in process safety management
- Knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards
- Experience with PHAs and risk assessments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
