About this role
Waymo seeks a Master's-level software engineering intern to support autonomous vehicle testing and validation. You'll design test metrics, build dashboards for fleet monitoring, and create automated pipelines to verify safety-critical driving behaviors across multiple platforms.
What you'll do
- Design metrics, test plans, and simulated scenarios for testing autonomous vehicles in fault and remote-assistance situations
- Create dashboards to monitor and visualize fleet-wide fault rates across autonomous vehicles on public roads
- Support Verification and Validation of Fault Protection and Remote Assistance behaviors
- Build automated pipelines using Python and SQL to manage test coverage for safety-critical scenarios
- Analyze complex autonomous vehicle systems and their components
